The wine shows impressive concentration of yellow stone fruit flavours backed up with racy acidity. The subtle oak notes of barrel fermentation intermingle with heady, floral scents, while partial malolactic fermentation enhances the silky fullness of texture. Fabulous length. This will go on improving for a decade or more. The Limes vineyard faces east at 550-600m on the Appiano Monte hillside below the Mendel Pass. Harvested in early October with a yield of just 40-45 hectolitres per hectare.
