Louis‑Claude Desvignes
Eight generations of the Desvignes family have shaped these structured, mineral-driven Morgons from old vines in top crus like Côte du Py and Javernières. Now fully estate-bottled and organically farmed, these Gamays offer the finesse, tension, and ageing potential typically found in top Burgundy.
The domaine's oldest parcels were planted between 1912 and the 1940s. Siblings Louis-Benoît and Claude-Emmanuelle now lead the estate, focusing on low-intervention methods and long elevage. The wines are made using partial carbonic maceration, native yeasts, and minimal extraction to highlight site character without adding weight.
Key cuvées include La Voûte Saint-Vincent, a structured blend from Douby; Les Impénitents, a dense, mineral Morgon from century-old vines; and Aux Pierres, a tight, savoury expression from schist soils. Each wine reflects its origin clearly, with depth, drive, and real cellar potential.
