Loimer

Fred Loimer farms 85 hectares across Kamptal and Gumpoldskirchen in Lower Austria. The vineyards sit on loess, gneiss, and limestone soils, producing wines that balance minerality with structure. All sites are certified biodynamic under the respekt-BIODYN association, which Loimer helped found in 2006.
In the cellar, Loimer uses spontaneous fermentation, long lees ageing, and minimal intervention to preserve vineyard character. His focus includes Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, and Pinot Noir, alongside a growing program of traditional-method sparkling wines (Sekt g.U). These sparkling wines now make up about 15 percent of total production and are exported to more than 20 countries.
Loimer’s wines are clean, textural, and site-driven. Discover the clarity and precision that define the best of modern Austrian winemaking today, available exclusively at Marquis Wine Cellars.
