This historic 500 year old family owned estate in Sancerre, has become a specialist in the production of Great Wines from Centre Loire Valley thanks to its unrivalled know how. VINE PLOT: 9.5 hectares.
The vines are planted on Kimmeridgian limestone marls. The soil (village of Saint Laurent l’Abbaye) is stony on the surface and clayey deeper down.
WORK IN THE VINEYARD
The vines are cultivated according to the principles of sustainable agriculture.
100% destemming (for greater softness and finesse). Low pressure direct pressing (pneumatic press) in order to extract the highest quality juice. Following cold static settling, fermentation takes place at low temperatures in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks.
Bright and pale gold in color. The nose is notably mineral with traces of white flowers and box. A delicate, well-balanced wine, crisp and fresh with good length in the mouth.
Excellent with shellfish, lobster and fish such as sole, salmon or trout. May also be enjoyed on its own as an aperitif.
Ideal serving temperature: 8 - 10°c.
After serving, we recommend allowing this wine to breathe for a short while in order for its aromas to develop to their full potential.
