Il Poggione 2009 Vin Santo 500ml

Il Poggione's 2007 Sant'Antimo Vin Santo Riserva (packaged in a 500-milliliter bottle) shows a light gold appearance with some faint amber intensity. The bouquet reveals signs of evolution with butterscotch and caramel followed by honey and burnt sugar. However, the fruit is still there with layers of dried apricot and white raisin. This Vin Santo represents a blend of Trebbiano and Malvasia, and the grapes are left to dry for 90 days. It ages for 10 years in small caratelli barrels. This is a medium-weight dessert wine to pair with lady finger or cream pastries.
