Cavalo Barao NV Premium Tinto 1.0L

This is a charming everyday, old world red that comes in a one liter bottle. A blend of Tempranillo, Syrah and Castelao from Alentejo. The nose is dark cherries and a mix of dusty mellow berries. There is a mellow earthiness and some spice to add a little intrigue. This wine has a mellow old school earthiness that is reminiscent of Italian wines. The wine is very easy drinking, and it is surprisingly more complex on the palate than the nose. With more depth to the fruit with plums, cherries and even blueberry tones. All of which is backed by a whisper of earth, chocolate and spice. This is a humble wine that makes for great dinner company.
