Marquis Wine Cellars Joins “Buy Local—Elbows Up” Movement, Spotlighting BC Wines
Vancouver, BC – Marquis Wine Cellars is proud to stand side by side with local businesses by officially joining the “Buy Local—Elbows Up” movement. Marquis Wine Cellars, Vancouver’s leading boutique wine retailer, sees shopping locally as more than a transaction—it’s about building local businesses, preserving character, and fostering resilience.
For owner John Clerides, “elbows up” doesn’t mean pushing back—it means leaning in. “We’ve been rooted in Vancouver’s retail wine business for over 35 years,” says Clerides. “Supporting local producers, family-owned vineyards, and other small businesses isn’t just what we do—it’s who we are.”
As part of this initiative, Marquis Wine Cellars is spotlighting a curated collection of wines from small-batch producers throughout British Columbia. Customers can expect thoughtfully selected staff picks, seasonal features, and exclusive releases marked “LOCAL.”
