[2021 vintage] The 2021 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo impresses with an array of autumnal spices that gives way to dusty rose and dried cherries. This is smooth and pliant in feel with brisk acidity and tart, wild berry fruits. It leaves a pleasant, purple-tinged floral staining while tapering off lightly structured. The 2021 will show its best when enjoyed with a meal.
