Bright, deep ruby. The slightly brooding aromas of blueberry, cassis, violet and spices convey a medicinal aspect. Juicy and penetrating, with lovely shape and restraint but no shortage of flavor intensity. The wine's subtle sweetness is leavened by saline minerality and a hint of olive tapenade. Finishes with sneaky mounting length.
