Deep purple-black in color, the 2010 Messenger Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon open with a slightly mute nose before revealing notes of freshly crushed black currant, cedar and sage with hints of black olives, meat, chocolate and bark. Medium-bodied, tightly knit with enlivened acid, medium firm, fine tannins and a long finish. Drink it from 2014 to 2022+.

Deep, bright red/purple colour, excellent appearance, and a lovely fresh aroma. Bright, intense, concentrated flavour of a raspberry, blackberry to mulberry kind. Very intense, big-framed cabernet with lots of mouthcoating tannins and a serious after-grip. But the tannins are good tannins, ripe and supple. However, this wine needs years before broaching. Penetrating, and intense, powerful and structured. Long term cabernet.

A gorgeously seductive wine that articulates everything I love about Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon. It's deep in colour with intense inky, cassis, roasted chestnut vanilla aromas. The palate is voluminous and chocolaty with lovely density of fruit, superb tannin ripeness, underpinned by roasted chestnut, vanilla nuances. The flavours and tannins plume at the finish like a peacock's tail. A wonderful discovery!
