Description
This Blaufrankisch reflects the diversity of the soils in Mittleburgenland. It brings loam and limestone – and thus depth and finesse – into the glass. A multiple vineyard pick from vines 5-35 years old. The ferments are spontaneous with 10 days in very old wooden tanks followed by 18 months in big wooden barrels with natural malolactic fermentation. Unfined and unfiltered. Sour cherry, black olives, and many dark berries. On the palate very fresh and animated. Lots of fruit, vivacious acidity, and full, spicy tannins. Drink now.
