Bright red. Aromas and flavors of red cherry, smoke, tar, licorice and tobacco. Very juicy, fresh and precise, this finishes long and clean with resonating mineral and sour red cherry nuances. This is a glorious wine for the vintage (which was mostly horribly wet and miserable). A 70% Uva di Troia and 30% Montepulciano blend, 60% is aged in large Slavonian oak casks, in 20 and 30HL barrels, and barriques of French oak.
