Marquis Tasting Note:
Light garnet with purple in colour. The nose contains plum notes and red berry with some light spiciness. The palate is smooth, round, rich with fruits, with soft tannins. Pair with grilled meats, salad, also tapas with soft and medium strength cheese.
"Paul Mas 'Valmont Red' is a blend of Grenache, Carignan, Syrah and Merlot that we grow on the Herault Hills of the Languedoc, Southern France... a perfect balance between Old and New World styles is a vibrantly fruity, well-balanced and rounded wine with raspberry and floral notes on the nose and palate."

In the shape of a 24 km long triangle, pointing downwards, the terroir’s eastern boundary is the south flowing river Hérault. To the north it’s sheltered by the Black Mountain, whilst its south-western ground is an extension of the Béziers area. The altitude varies from 0 – 300 metres with vines at all levels.
