Medium brick in colour. There is still just a hint of black fruit on the nose but this is covered by the smoky, meaty and earthy aromas that have developed. The wine is still fresh on the palate and there are flavours of red cherry, underbrush, cinnamon, and a touch of smoked meat on display. Medium bodied with very soft tannins. This is a wine to drink now but it is a great example of a wine that has been aged for almost 30 years.
