Manenti 2016 Cerasuolo di Vittoria 750ml

Husband and wife Marita and Guglielmo Manenti tend to their 4 hectares of vines. No irrigation is used on their land because the deep sandy clay soil provides natural moisture for the roots. This is a blend of two native Italian grapes 60% Nero d'Avola and 40% Frappato. Nose of black cherry, strawberry, ripe raspberry and mineral. A smooth palate with nice concentration of fruit and non-aggressive tannins brings the grapes alive once again. Best enjoyed within three years of harvest. Pair with light pork dishes and roasted zucchini.
