The 2016 Pernand-Vergelesses Clos de la Croix de Pierre (Domaine Louis Jadot) is quite ripe and gourmand, likely due to the year's small yields, offering up a honeyed bouquet of waxy lemon rind, white flowers and creamy new wood. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, open-knit and fleshy, with juicy acids and a pure, saline finish. This is already drinking well.
