Limpid purple. Ripe, highly perfumed red berry and cherry scents are complicated by suggestions of peppery spices, smoked meat and incense. Sappy, concentrated and focused on the palate, offering intense black raspberry, cherry and floral pastille flavors and a suggestion of spicecake. Brawny yet surprisingly lively, closing with powerful thrust and silky, even tannins that sneak in late to add shape and gentle grip.
