Lemon and white peach are mingled with cassis and blackberry in this strikingly fruity rendition of Klaus. Infectious juiciness is allied to admirable clarity and focus, leading to a clinging finish to which stony, nutty, smoky, cyanic and iodine-like notes add intrigue, and pronounced salinity proves saliva-liberating as well as literally lip-licking. What a pleasure to witness a Jamek bottling that showcases their great signature site with such delicious distinctiveness! It won’t much surprise me if this wine ends up outlasting my prognostication of ageability.
