This wine is 100% Sangiovese from Marche, a region that competes in the Sangiovese/Montepulciano rivalry of central Italy. This is a good wine to introduce to Sangiovese newbies because it's unoaked with no malolactic fermentation. Still, for a young wine, it contains a decent amount of flavour and a long finish. Expect aromas of earth, red berries, roses, and other floral hints on the nose. The palate is dry, fruit-forward, with moderate acidity and fine tannins. Flavours of cherry, plum, and leather end in a lengthy finish. Best to give this a quick decant.
