Enticing aromas of stone fruit and white blossoms lead to a rich, creamy palate of peaches, apricots, tangerine, Meyer lemon, baking spices and honey, balanced by mouth-watering acidity. A touch of oak on the lingering finish. --Winemaker
Given the popularity of the HBO series associated with this wine, it would sell like hot cakes no matter what it tastes like. Luckily, it's decent stuff, albeit a bit aggressive and youthful. Anjou pear, key lime, underripe guava and honeydew aromas lead into a sweet palate loaded with guava and bubblegum flavors. It finishes clean and very juicy.

COMMENTARY: What am I to think when I pick up a bottle of the Game of Thrones Chardonnay? Power, conquest, battles, or all of the above? The 2016 vintage—made by highly regarded winemaker Bob Cabral—delivers as promise and wins the battle. TASTING NOTES: This wine is what I would have expected. Its aromas and flavors of ripe core fruits, savory spices, and enticing oak should pair perfectly with a multi-faceted feast for family and friends.
