Winemaker's Notes:
VINEYARDS: Foppiano Vineyards has been growing grapes in Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley since 1896, and Lot 96 Celebrates this long-term legacy. Today the vineyard is planted to Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, and Sauvignon Blanc on the warmer bench lands, and Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on the cooler lower lying land close to the Russian River. To craft the 2012 Petite Sirah, we sourced fruit from our estate as well as select properties throughout California.
WINEMAKING: Winemaker Natalie West believes in treating Petite Sirah grapes like Pinot Noir, using refined methods and tender care. Once in the cellar, the grapes are fermented in open top fermenters with punch downs three times a day for good color extraction. After a gentle pressing, the wine is aged in French and Hungarian oak barrels to add to the complexity and depth of the wine.
TASTING NOTES: Our 2012 Lot 96 Petite Sirah is the ideal every day red. Bright aromas of blackberry and cherry are balanced with subtle spicy nuances that follow through to the palate. Smooth and balanced, this wine has good acidity harmonizing with soft tannins. We pair this with Pizza, Pasta, burgers, you name it. It’s our goto Wednesday night wine.

We use Canada Post for the majority of deliveries and a courier for those nearest our location. If you are not at home when Canada Post attempts delivery of your package, they will leave a note with the nearest pickup location. By law, we cannot ship outside of the province and packages delivered by Canada Post cannot be left on the doorstep. Orders for downtown Vancouver may arrive the same or next day depending on time of order. Order cut-off is generally 10am PST on a best-effort basis. We will contact you if we require more information to set up delivery.
