(a mix of the three terroirs, vinified with 20% whole clusters; Liger-Belair usually makes about 50 barrels of this wine but has only 10 in 2016): Bright medium ruby. Very ripe aromas of dark plum, black cherry and dark chocolate. Concentrated, savory wine with lovely fullness and depth of dark fruits for Hautes-Côtes de Nuits. Finishes with broad, dusty tannins and lingering sweetness. This very gently extracted wine will also give early pleasure.
