"Intense fruit on the nose here, with a little beetroot, spice and anise. There is a freshness to the aroma too, alongside some smoky oak. Soft and silky on the palate, structured, with a grip of ripe tannins. Flavours of wild cherries, earth and dry herbs are framed by gentle acidity. Best of all, this tastes like a text book Pinot Noir in the grand Burgundian style at a very reasonable price. No surprise, this is a brilliant food wine."
