Claret-like Languedoc red that is deliciously fruity and easy to drink. Louis-Marie Teisserenc took over the family estate in the late 1970s and very quickly decided to re-build, removing low quality, mass production varieties and replacing them. An early passion for claret proved to be the catalyst and he was soon planting cabernet sauvignon and merlot. Some of these vines are now 30 years old and now producing some of the Languedoc?s finest cabernet blends. One of the best-value reds to come out of the Midi, this is a ripe and polished cabernet-merlot blend with good depth of flavour and great length. A year's ageing in three to four-year-old oak has imbued the wine with a lovely rounded texture and an appealing hint of pepper.
