Description
The old vines produce less fruit, but of higher quality. The grapes are picked and fermented in steel tanks for 8-10 days. The wine is then allowed to undergo malolactic fermentation, which helps to balance the otherwise very high acidity in the wine. Subsequently, the wine is stored on the lees in stpål tanks, which results in complex notes of toasted bread and nuts. The wine is then blended with 20% wine that has aged for 3-4 months in French oak barrels for additional complexity. The wine is golden in the glass with straw yellow reflections. The fragrance is filled with notes of orange blossom, fresh stone fruit, bergamot, citrus and brioche. The taste is crisp and pleasant with notes of sun-ripened peach, bergamot, lime peel, almonds and toasted brioche. The aftertaste is long and elegant with a crisp, mineral finish.
