Made from 100% Merlot and weighing in with 13% alcohol, the 2020 Clos de la Molénie has a deep purple-black color and wonderfully pure, vibrant notes of crushed black and red cherries, freshly crushed plums and redcurrant jelly, plus hints of lavender, dusty soil, cinnamon toast and cardamom. The medium-bodied palate is elegantly crafted and refreshing, featuring finely grained tannins and a long, mineral-laced finish. A bright, energetic and lively style, which is simply scrumptious!
A relatively new wine, this vineyard is located in the Entre-Deux-Mer region, slightly south and mostly east of Bordeaux. This wine comes from a five-hectare portion of a 25-hectare vineyard situated on the clay and limestone plateau of Ruch. The vineyard is certified organic and biodynamic. The wine was aged for five months in amphorae. Suitable for vegans, the wine was organically fined. Only 12,000 bottles were produced.
