The La Grande Clotte is rich and phenolic in this vintage. The Sauvignon Blanc-inflected notes take on an extra dimension of depth. Bright orchard fruit, herb and floral notes are nicely delineated. The 2016 is an attractive Grande Clotte, even if the wine is not as polished as it can be.
