Cedar Creek 2023 Platinum Pinot Noir Rose 750ml

The South Kelowna Slopes rosé is a blend of the Home Block and Simes vineyard Pinot Noirs. Grapes are foot-trodde to break up the skins and allow time for the skins and juice to macerate together - typically for about an hour to acquire the pale pink hue, much paler indeed then the Naramata Ranch rosé, also in the Platinum series. The '23 is a wine of considerable depth and complexity, appealingly savoury, with excellent cut and vibrant acids. There's genuine pinot flavour on offer, accented by grapefruit, and red currant, red cherry and blood orange notes. Length and depth are excellent. It's a premium priced rosé, but with quality to match. Drink or even hold a couple of years - there's plenty of stuffing to see this evolve favourably.
