The 2013 St Joseph Septentrio is solid, with a healthy ruby/purple color, enjoyable notes of plums, peppery herbs and violets, and a smoky, meaty, medium-bodied style on the palate. There’s real northern Rhône character here and it will drink nicely for 7-8 years.
