I tasted the 2013 Pinot Noir Arley's Leap from barrel last year, so I was eagerly looking forward to re-tasting this from bottle. It has a lovely bouquet with small red cherries, cranberry and orange blossom aromas that are very well defined and demonstrate impressive fruit intensity for a 2013. The palate is medium-bodied with fine, supple redcurrant and strawberry fruit, very elegant in the mouth with satisfying presence on the finish. Perhaps it is not quite as detailed as I was expecting but that should not detract from what is a beautifully crafted Oregon Pinot.
