Brilliant ruby-red. A wild, highly perfumed bouquet evokes ripe cherry and dark berries, violet candy, star anise and smoked meat. Sappy and penetrating on the palate, offering intense blackcurrant and cherry liqueur flavors that are braced by a spine of juicy acidity. Shows very good depth as well as energy and finishes with strong, smoke-tinged persistence and steadily building tannins.
