Description
25 year old single malt from the brill Blair Athol! This whisky was distilled all the way back in March 1995, and set aside to age in a single sherry butt for quarter of a century. It was eventually bottled by Douglas Laing for its Old Particular range, with 282 bottles produced, presented at cask strength.
Nose: Sweet hard candy initially, then comes toffee and milk chocolate with buttery pastry.
Palate: Warming spices give way to charred oak, summer fruit tart and milky coffee.
Finish: Long with stewed berries, chocolate mousse and dried fruit.
