Aroa 2022 Le Naturel 750ml

This red wine from Navarra, Spain is comprised mostly of Grenache and boasts "no added sulphites" on the label. Don't worry, we kiss the pigs so you don't have to! Organic farming is used on fresh calcareous clay soils located near the northern border of Spain. The hand-picking of grapes, short 4-5 day maceration, and malolactic fermentation creates a lighter coloured wine with a fresh palate full of fruits. The motto here is minimal intervention, but how does it taste? On the nose, aromas of fresh plum and dark berry. On the palate, raspberry flavours dominate with notes of violet, blackcurrant, and a slight spritz on the tongue. Good length on the liquorice and mineral-tinged finish. With no sulfites, you should drink this sooner rather than later.
