Vivid straw. Fresh lemon and lime on the nose, building deeper pear and fig qualities in the glass. Juicy and focused, with good clarity to its lively citrus and orchard fruit flavors. Clings very nicely on the finish, leaving suave floral and citrus zest notes behind.

The smallest Denominaciones de Origin (DO) in Spain is situated right outside of Barcelona. It is a 280-hectare region called Alella and is home to only eight producers.  Alta Alella is a family owned winery and the organic wines from here have become very famous in Spain.  The Pansa Blanca is made with the variety Xarel-lo one of the main varieties for Cava production in Penedes.   Expect loads of flowers, citrus, melon and apricots apricot.  This wine is expressive in and refreshing.  It will pair amazingly with seafood – think shellfish, oysters and lighter fish dishes.
