The 2018 Puligny-Montrachet les Pucelles 1er Cru has an appealing bouquet of pineapple, orange pith and light wet pavement/petrichor aromas. The palate has better salinity on the entry compared to the Clavoillons, imparting more tension and energy. The finish has a "licked limestone" quality, which can only be explained if you go out and lick a piece of limestone to experience the tingling sensation. Excellent.
