I found some reminiscences with some traditional wines from Rioja in the 2015 Q Tempranillo, which is sold later than the rest of the Q range and also had a longer élevage in oak that gave it notes of cigar box and cedar wood. 2015 was a cooler year that produced wines with good acidity and freshness. This should develop nicely in bottle. I have enjoyed wines from the first vintage they produced, 1997, and the wine was still going strong. It was the first wine that showed the Zuccardi name on the label. It was, and this 2015 is, a textbook example of the variety.
