The 2021 Riesling Clos Saint Hune is within the original Rosacker Grand Cru. It measures 1.6ha. Pierre Trimbach planted the youngest vines in 1981, and he does not know how old the oldest vines are but estimates they are around 70 years old. The wine opens with a hint of reduction; underneath its earth, tangerine, Mirabelle and wet stone notes meet. The palate holds more fruit and is full of texture. There is ripe Mirabelle and Mirabelle skin, lemon and lemon pith. Despite the cool year, there is something generous here, something smooth. The finish is endless and still slightly smoky. (Bone-dry)
