Single Malt Scotch

Single Malt Scotch

To be considered a single malt Scotch whisky, it must be made in Scotland at a single distillery using the pot distillation method. The whisky is then aged in oak casks in Scotland for a minimum of three years. We carry a unique selection of single malts from regions such as the Highlands, Islay, Speyside, the Islands, and the Lowlands. According to the Scotch Whisky Association, the Highlands produce the most diverse styles of Scotch, ranging from salty coastal malts to lighter whiskies. Islay is pronounced "eye-luh," and these whiskies are known for their peaty and fiery characteristics. In contrast, Speyside whiskies exhibit less peat and more fruity notes, and they are commonly aged in old Sherry casks, which impart extra flavors. Soft and smooth characterizes Scotch whiskies from the Lowlands, making them excellent pre-meal drinks due to their lighter nature.
