Made in high-altitude vineyards, this fragrant red is fresher than most of the region's wines from the hot 2015 vintage. It opens with enticing aromas of red berry, pressed rose, pipe tobacco, wild herb and underbrush while the radiant, linear palate delivers sour cherry, red currant, star anise and white pepper. Bright acidity and taut, fine-grained provide balance and support. It's still youthfully austere but will age beautifully. Drink: 2022-2035.
