Maison en Belles Lies 2021 Hautes Cotes de Beaune 750ml

Bourgogne natural wine master Pierre Fenals crafts this stunningly deep and enthralling Pinot Noir from a tiny half nectar lieu-dit called Les Chataigniers  just north of the village of Saint Aubin, with 50-60 years old vines farmed biodynamically. Grapes are partially destemmed before spontaneous fermentation, the wine then ages in large barrels and the wine is bottled with no fining, filtration or added SO2. Light claret, almost a deep pink in colour, it vibrates and resounds with small forest fruits, candied rhubarb, white tea and smoked watermelon.
