This vineyard is always a delight and makes some of Ken's most opulent and expressive wines. The wine delivers some plum and spice notes, along with earthy tones. The palate is lush and succulent already, with some loganberry and blueberry flavours later on the finish. This wine has plenty of weight and heft to it already.
"Among all Ken Wright's single vineyard Pinots, the McCrone is the most tannic and hard-edged. Tart cranberry fruit pokes through chewy tannins. It's a wine that may require several hours of decanting. 87 points" - P.G., The Wine Enthusiast (6/1/2013)
