Attractive notes of red and black currants, green tobacco, truffle, cedar, and smoked herbs emerge from the 2009 Château Olivier, a wine from the deep, gravelly soils of the Graves region of Bordeaux. With medium-bodied richness, a silky, evolved, endearing texture, still present tannins, and solid length, this charming, balanced, satisfying Bordeaux should be drunk over the coming decade.
