Description
Disgorged in January 2019 with three grams per liter dosage, the 2015 Premier Cru Rilly-la-Montagne delivers a generous bouquet of citrus fruit, peach and green apple, complemented by a patina of wood influence. Medium to full-bodied, it's fleshier and richer than its 2013 predecessor though still underpinned by racy acids and concluding with a saline finish. As readers will remember, this cuvée derives from Pinot Noir vines planted at high altitude on east-facing slopes, defined by chalky bedrock rich in flint and overlain by sandy soils that lend the lieu-dit its name, "Les Sablons."
