The 2010 Aluvional La Consulta, from vines planted in 1974 at 1,000 meters altitude on sand, clay and rocky soils, is fermented in cement and aged in a mixture of used and (little) new oak. The nose is delineated with pure aromas of red fruit (cherries, strawberries) as well as elegant notes of violets and roses. Medium to full-bodied, it has sweet, round tannins and a long finish lifted by the alcohol. Drink 2014-2020.
