Description
Picked from vines planted in 1947 on alluvial gravel soils in a vineyard west of Wintzenheim, the yellow-lemon 2013 Gewürztraminer Vieilles Vignes offers classic Traminer aromas of roses, lychees and lemon fruit. Made entirely from healthy grapes and fermented to dry, the wine (until 2010 part of the Wintzenheim cuvée) is full-bodied, clear, fresh on the palate, and characterized by its piercing piquancy and salty minerality.
