Last tasted in June 2016, very shortly before bottling, this offers up on the nose as well as the expansive, glossy palate an amazing combination of papaya, fresh lime, snap pea, green tomato, heady floral perfume and penetrating ginger and white pepper. Vintage ripeness in no way diminishes this bottling’s Grüner Veltliner-typicity, but does allow for an exceptionally animated finishing interplay, incorporating tingling, crystalline impingements, mouthwatering salinity, and otherwise mineral-like details.
