Tasting Note:
Vi?a Gormaz is a 125 acre/51 hectare estate on the Adaja River in Rueda. In 1989, a modern winemaking facility was built over the 14th-century subterranean cellars. Their focus is on indigenous white varieties of Rueda; including Verdejo and Viura. This wine is made using 100% Verdejo and has a particular brightness. It is loaded with fruity aromas of citrus, kiwi and quince balanced by refreshing acidity. Try pairing it with shellfish, Trout and South-East Asian dishes.
Critical Acclaim:
Passion fruit, scallion, nettle and minerally aromas are neither pushy nor piquant. It’s stony in feel, with a crisp, acidic palate that houses tropical fruit flavors of pineapple and papaya, while the finish is pithy in flavor, with bitterness and a leftover hint of papaya.
