Van Westen 2016 Viognier 750ml

From 10-14 year old vines in Orlando Vineyard and Granite Ridge Vineyard on Naramata Bench, this was barrel fermented in 6-10 year old neutral French oak for five months. Full, lush peach and apricot with textured with peach fizz grip. There’a powdered lime note on the finish that makes it stick a bit, but this has slimmed down, pleasantly from the richer, fatter 2015.
