Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, Barbera which blend with small quantities of Albarossa, Freisa and Pinot Noir.

DESCRIPTION

Langhe Rosso is a taste of Piemonte, a way to explore its different varieties and get to know its personality better. Coming from young vines, it is fruity and crisp with nice structure. It is the ideal food-friendly wine.

VINEYARDS

Different vineyards, but most of all grape varieties come together in perfect unison for this blend of Langhe Rosso. Tannins and aromas from Nebbiolo and Dolcetto give structure and elegance to the wine. Barbera adds freshness and personality, while the bouquet of fruit and spices can be attributed to the Freisa. Albarossa, always present, at times coalesces smoothly into the blend while at others, stands out with its uniqueness. And last but not least comes the finesse of Pinot Noir.

FARMING

Vajra has always believed in sustainable farming and keeps the turf natural and green in the vineyard. No irrigation is used while thinning is decided according to the vintage.

HARVEST AND WINEMAKING

We respect the identity of every single variety and therefore wait from September to October for the ripening of different vineyards. Manual grape picking, careful cluster selection and transport in small crates to keep the fruit intact, is done for each and every vineyard. A er this careful selection process, the grapes are fermented for approximately 8-10 days and are aged in stainless steel tanks (with a minimum share of neutral wood) for 14-16 months before being bottled. Blending, fermentation and aging time periods may vary according to each vintage.

TASTING NOTES

A hue of violet red. Aromas of red fruits, plums, underbrush as well as oral and spicy fragrances intrigue your senses from the very first moment. A nice correspondence on the palate where hints of almond, black pepper and Asian spices come together for a nice refreshing finish.
