The 2010 Ghemme Vigna Pelizzane offers that distinctive dryness that defines the Nebbiolo-based wines of this small appellation in Alto Piemonte. The bouquet shows dried berry and crème de cassis, followed by campfire ash and crushed mineral. This wine ages in large oak barrels for four long years and is extremely streamlined and polished as a result.
